100 ans après la dissolution du mouvement Dada, la révolte gronde toujours. Avant-garde ? Zarboth se fait fort d’apporter une continuité sonique à cette clameur légitime. Comme leurs trois précédents opus, Grand Barnum All Bloom défie les lois de la description. A la manière du free jazz, Zarboth déconstruit en toute liberté.
Leur « expérience de l’impossible » passe par toutes les musiques déviantes, les danses concaves et primitives. Ils passent la chansonnette à la rap, cuisinent en direct un yaourt rock d’opposition avec des vrais morceaux de free dedans, balancent, manipulent, recyclent. Électron électro - scandé, boucles entêtantes, polyrythmies savantes, mélodies simples, groove psychédélique, fury de bongos, décharge d’énergie libératrice : un cri primal et primordial. Zarboth questionne, laisse les portes ouvertes, peint le monde au couteau.
Témoin sensible d’une urbanité brutale, Zarboth enfant de la lune (Moon Boy) nous embarque dans un rêve éveillé de surréalité, fantasme d’une autre humanité. Suspendu·e, absorbé·e, hypnotisé·e par le poète voyageur, l’auditeur et l’auditrice ne sont jamais sûr·es de la tournure que vont prendre les événements.

Avec Grand Barnum All Bloom, le label PeeWee! choisit tout au contraire de réaffirmer son goût pour l’étrange et l’inattendu. Il reprend un compagnonnage amorcé il y a 25 ans avec l’inventif Phil Reptil.Ce 4ème album explosif du duo Gaillochet-Reptil, qui n’en est pas à son coup d’essai, marque aussi l’arrivée en force du poète chanteur trompettiste Macdara Smith, l’irlandais qu’on attendait. Zarboth a voulu un disque à l’image de ses concerts, qui laissent son public de 7 à 77 ans (sic) ravi, sonné et joyeux. On vient sans savoir et on ressort en sachant encore moins à quoi l’on vient d’assister. Peu importe, l’important c’est d’être présent sur le moment : This Is The Moment.
