Cohérent, engagé, ardent et généreux... Ça décoiffe !
"On retrouve notamment avec plaisir le batteur Bruno Tocanne dont nous avions salué le "4 new dreams !" paru sur le même label.. On perçoit la cohérence d'un programme qui mêle, de façon apparemment échevelée, fanfares joyeuses et riffs ravageurs, échappées free et mélodies lancinantes... L'expressivité malicieuse et candide à la fois de Damien Sabatier n'est pas ici sans évoquer Maurice Merle ou Jean Paul Autin de l'ARFI, dont ils partagent un même mot d'ordre d'engagement collectif et de décloisonnement. Quelque chose d'ardent et de généreux est là, qui s'exprime tant dans l'alliage très riche des vents, des guitares et d'une belle palette de sons et d'effets que dans le lyrisme mélodique qui couve se met en marche inexorablement (ou explose. Ailleurs la collision des grooves et des cultures décoiffe irrésistiblement. Tous les arrangements sont signés du collectif entier, ce qui explique en grande partie l'unité qui se dégage de ce répertoire puissant avec joie (communicative) et virtuosité aux sources les plus vives." - Vincent CORTO
